Chelsea Owner Divorced with Third Wife after 10 Years Married
Chelsea club owner, Roman Abramovich, reportedly divorced with Daria Zhukova after undergoing 10 years of marriage. The couple who has had two children revealed their divorce in a joint statement.
“After 10 years of marriage, we both have made a tough decision to part ways,” the official statement said, as quoted BolaSport.com from the BBC on Monday (7/8/2017).
Abramovich is on the list of the richest people in the world with a fortune of nearly 7 billion pounds. He occupies the 140th position according to Forbes magazine.
In the statement it was also added that they remained close friends, became parents, and continued to forge partnerships in jointly developed projects. They are also committed to keep raising and caring for their two children.
The 50-year-old took over Chelsea since 2003. On the way home, Abramovich has also divorced his second wife, Irina, in 2007.
Mr. Zhukova, 36 years old, is an art collector and also a board member of the New York Metropolitan Museum. She married Abramovich in 2008 after they met at a party in 2005.
Both will also continue to work together as founders of the Contemporary Art Museum of Garage in Moscow and at the Dutch cultural center in Saint Petersburg.
